WILLS

What is a Will?

A Will is a legal document that gives directions regarding the management and distribution of your estate after death.

Why should I make a Will?

Making a Will is very important, as it allows you to select  who can manage your estate, and the beneficiaries that you wish to inherit your estate. You can set up Trusts and  in some instances, arrange gifts in a way to  ensure that the estate's liability for inheritance tax is reduced.

So what if I do not make a Will?

If you die without a will you are said to be ‘intestate’ in these circumstances there are laws that govern who  can manage your estate and inherit your estate and in what order, this will be irrespective of your wishes.
